Google created an “open-source software and hardware library that makes it possible to use the web to create big, unusual, interactive displays out of all kinds of things.  Anyone can fork the code and schematics to create their own display at any scale. The first display of this platform is in the 8th Avenue lobby at the Google NYC office.”

Anypixel.js can be used to build an interactive display out of anything. Light switches, boxes, balloons…anything! They even offer an in-browser preview so you can play around with it before you actually start building. You can access the preview here.
