Digital Ambiance worked with Anticlockwise to manage the construction and installation of this permanent installation. We installed a 150ft interactive fluid floor inspired by the City’s famous fog — Karl.
K.A.R.L stands for Kinetic Algorithm for Reactive Lighting. It is a custom software simulation Anticlockwise developed for this piece.
The new media artwork unifies the two halves of the playground by acting as an elegant “light bridge”. It utilizes organic patterns to conjure natural elements into the urban cityscape. It is the first of its kind in the world.
