Our Luma-Hex light fixtures began as a case study into the creation of custom-shaped “pixels” created from diffused LED panels. Quickly seeing the potential as a custom installation, we created an entire set of hexagonal tiles in various sizes that could be installed in any configuration. This first set was created with wood frames and stretched lycra diffusion. These days we’re making our panels with light-diffusion acrylic and addressable LED strip for a truly unique look that we have yet to see replicated.
