Kollision transformed a greenhouse at the Botanical Gardens in Aarhus, Denmark with their interactive installation, Plant A Light. Kollision collaborated on the project with Væksthusene, Aarhus University, CAVI & Martin by HARMAN and it was designed for AARHUS 2017 – European Capital of Culture. Plant A Light connects the visitors to the greenhouse by allowing them to create a charge by touching a pillar inside the park. The charge is then transferred to the greenhouse dome via sound and an impulse to ‘plant’ an organism of light. To create the dome’s light effect 22,000 LEDs were installed and mapped.
