In late March of this year, Microsoft is scheduled to ship the first round of their HoloLens headsets to developers around the world. The goggle/headphone combination allows users to interact with their software in a more tactile way. This immersive reality holds new pathways, not only for entertainment, but also in artistic utility.
Artists and designers will be able to utilize HoloLens to create 3D models of their work. HoloLens could provide colleagues an easier process for collaborating on projects in real time. Creatives across the world will expand the utility of this innovative product, and in doing so, advance the technological capabilities of “mixed reality”.
