Nick Verstand materializes emotions into a physical light form with their audiovisual installation AURA. Using a system developed in collaboration with the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research, the visualization of the emotions comes from multiple biosensors measuring brain waves, heart-rate variability, and galvanic skin response. To create a change in AURA’s visualization of the viewer’s emotions the installation influenced them by its audio component.
